WordPress Get Database Error

Quickstart: Compose and WordPress

You can use Docker Compose to easily run WordPress in an isolated environment built with Docker containers. This quick-start guide demonstrates how to use Compose to set up and run WordPress. Before starting, make sure you have Compose installed.

Define the project

Create an empty project directory.

You can name the directory something easy for you to remember. This directory is the context for your application image. The directory should only contain resources to build that image.

This project directory contains a docker-compose.yml file which is complete in itself for a good starter wordpress project.

Tip: You can use either a .yml or .yaml extension for this file. They both work.

Change into your project directory.

For example, if you named your directory my_wordpress :

Create a docker-compose.yml file that starts your WordPress blog and a separate MySQL instance with a volume mount for data persistence:

Notes:

The docker volume db_data persists any updates made by WordPress to the database. Learn more about docker volumes

WordPress Multisite works only on ports 80 and 443 .

Build the project

Now, run docker-compose up -d from your project directory.

This runs docker-compose up in detached mode, pulls the needed Docker images, and starts the wordpress and database containers, as shown in the example below.

Note: WordPress Multisite works only on ports 80 and/or 443 . If you get an error message about binding 0.0.0.0 to port 80 or 443 (depending on which one you specified), it is likely that the port you configured for WordPress is already in use by another service.

Bring up WordPress in a web browser

At this point, WordPress should be running on port 8000 of your Docker Host, and you can complete the “famous five-minute installation” as a WordPress administrator.

Note: The WordPress site is not immediately available on port 8000 because the containers are still being initialized and may take a couple of minutes before the first load.

If you are using Docker Machine, you can run the command docker-machine ip MACHINE_VM to get the machine address, and then open http://MACHINE_VM_IP:8000 in a web browser.

If you are using Docker Desktop for Mac or Docker Desktop for Windows, you can use http://localhost as the IP address, and open http://localhost:8000 in a web browser.

Shutdown and cleanup

The command docker-compose down removes the containers and default network, but preserves your WordPress database.

The command docker-compose down –volumes removes the containers, default network, and the WordPress database.

An error occurred within the report server database. This may be due to a connection failure, timeout or low disk condition within the database. (rsReportServerDatabaseError)

When opening an SSRS reporting in a web browser the report generates the below error:

An error occurred within the report server database. This may be due to a connection failure, timeout or low disk condition within the database. (rsReportServerDatabaseError)

For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors

Possible Solution:

Run the below Query to find all Agent jobs linked the report (Both snapshot jobs and subscription jobs)

Run the below query to link agent jobs to Report that is timing out. This needs to be ran on your SSRS database instance.

Check if there are multiple agent jobs with the same name (In the below instance there were 3 jobs with the same name highlighted)
All Agent jobs where empty (No schedules or Steps)

Open the Management for the Report in a web browser and Cache refresh Options and delete the cached plan! (NOTE TO RECORD THE CONFIGURATION!)

Delete the Agent jobs that had were linked to the cache snapshot if they were not deleted by deleteing the Cache snapshot in SSRS

Troubleshooting Exchange

Exchange Log

Cannot remove a mailbox database in exchange 2010

Are you trying to remove a mailbox database and you have removed all the users mailboxes but you cant because it says: “mailbox database contains one or more mailboxes or arbitration mailboxes

  • Move the mailboxes (if you have a database to move to)
  • Set-AdServerSettings -ViewEntireForest $True
  • get-mailbox –arbitration –database | new-MoveRequest –targetdatabase
  • get-moverequest = Look for compleation
  • get-moverequest | remove-moverequest
  • Remove-mailboxdatabase –id
  • Disable the mailboxes (no other database to move to, but don’t want to delete the ID)
  • Set-AdServerSettings -ViewEntireForest $True
  • get-mailbox –arbitration –database | disable-mailbox
  • Remove-mailboxdatabase –id
  • Remove the mailboxes (Completely removing Exchange 2010)
  • Set-AdServerSettings -ViewEntireForest $True
  • get-mailbox –arbitration –database | remove-mailbox
  • Remove-mailboxdatabase –id

Note: Only do option 2 or 3 if you are removing exchange entirely, if you intend to keep exchange in your environment you should do a move, if for some reason that doesn’t work and you disable or remove it you need to create a new arbitration mailbox “new-mailbox -arbitration”

Right, here is the answer:
– The database was placed on cleardb in the past by msft, but that was not visible from the Web App resources in the Azure Portal

– It was found again by the cleardb support team, and they confirmed it was on the Mercury plan, so disabled.

Two possible solutions were given (though obviously the first is recommended, but seeing I needed the data to be placed back on Azure for the charity they gave me a second method):

1) Use the transition wizard mentioned here: http://w2.cleardb.net/important-change-of-billing-notice-for-all-azure-cleardb-service-plans/ and from there have an account created and its possible to upgrade the database(s) to at least Venus subscription at 10 USD per month.

2) Use the same transition wizard and select not to upgrade the databases yet. Skip all those prompts. It asks for creditcard, but it should only charge 1 USD and maybe book it back in the process. You see a list of your databases in their cleardb portal now. Click the database. Go to the Backups & Jobs tab. Start a new backup. wait 5 minutes. Go back to the tab and it should list one or more backups of your database. Now you can use the Export option to be able to download a .sql file containing your data. Next you can import this data into another place where you have mysql running.

Thanks to ClearDB support for finding the db back and giving the info. I will use the Local MySQL db option in the Web App template now to create a local db and try and import the data into it and see if I can get the website up and running again. Else can always create a MySQL resource in Azure and link to there.

Thank you for your support guys, also on the twitter and on facebook in getting things clear.
